2025 EcoAthletes Collegiate Cup Powered by Protect Where We Play is hosted by Climategames

2025 EcoAthletes Collegiate Cup Powered by Protect Where We Play is hosted by Climategames

The third annual EcoAthletes Collegiate Cup Powered by Protect Where We Play is hosted by Climategames again. It is a competition where  exercise – running, walking, swimming, cycling, rowing, and gym workouts – is converted into an environmental currency, which funds vital coral restoration projects.

The Collegiate Cup

EcoAthletes student-athlete Champions on 29 campuses are engaging YOU, their teammates, friends, family and climate supporters, to sign up for their school’s team on our easy-to-use Climategames app. You’ll register and enter your workouts there from March 10 to April 22, Earth Day. The team that exercises the most on aggregate during those six weeks wins the Collegiate Cup!

Your environmental currency created by your exercise will fund Coral Gardeners, an organisation dedicated to the restoration and conservation of coral reefs. By cultivating and transplanting corals to damaged reefs, Coral Gardeners help restore marine biodiversity and ecosystem health.

Clemson University, thanks to the consistent leadership and passion of rower Ana Klenke, won the 2023 and 2024 Collegiate Cups, and with them, a Billie Jean King Foundation Youth Leadership Award! This year, Champions on 26 other campuses from across the USA and Canada will dig deep to try to surpass Clemson to win the 2025 EcoAthletes Collegiate Cup Powered by Protect Where We Play.
