‍Climategames announces a new event: The Run for the Planet 

We are excited to announce the inaugural The Run for the Planet taking place on the 9th March 2025 in Battersea Park, London.

Join this unique London event which offers runners the opportunity to combine running with environmental action through Climategames. Take on a 5k, 10k or 10k relay around the iconic Battersea Park, go for a PB or simply enjoy the challenge, and help remove 120kg of plastic from the ocean through the Resea Project.

Run around the iconic 200-acre Battersea Park in Wandsworth, on the southern bank of the River Thames which is a favourite with runners due to its traffic-free, flat Carriage Drive loop and perfect for a PB or simply a great day out.

In partnership with event organisers OneRace, The Run for the Planet is the first ever running in-person Climategames event, where all the activity will fund ecological projects, including removing plastic from the ocean.

The WWF and RSPB have both announced red alerts for our planet and nature in 2024 and the science is clear, we need to act now. Take part in the Run for the Planet London event to help restore the planet through your run and have a great day out.

To remove plastic from the ocean with your run participants must download the Climategames App, sync your wearable and join the Run for the Planet London event. Only runners who download Climategames will be able to make their run matter for the planet!
